Emmett Kelly, who left Ringling during the AGVA strike in 1956 and never returned, would work Palisades Park and a few of the larger dates for Frank McCloskey's then new Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus each year.
Jimmy Armstrong, another Ringling clown who jumped ship to join the Alley of the new show.
